The
Make-Over phenomenon, the obsession with celebrity fashion ,
disposable fashion, and with people wearing 20%* of their clothes
80% of the time have all created a new and more informed market for
image consultancy. Normally you have to go to London to be trained
in image, but now you can attain London
standards image training in
Galway, Ireland.
* Tracked research by UK Financial Institute, courtesy of Good
Housekeeping magazine, 2006
stated that on average women in the UK spent £13,000
in their life time on clothes never worn or only worn once.
- Train to be an
accredited Image consultant - you cannot do this job effectively to
the level of service in demand without the
training. This is not just about having a good eye, although it helps. This
is about a science that works, so much so that it is now a City and
Guilds internationally recognised qualification.
The Service

Working to the principles of
Aston & Hayes, the leading independent trainer for image
consultancy in the UK
Adapted for the
Irish
Market - the model that incorporates specific topics for Ireland
Training is carried out at my
studio in Galway, for one to three people, maximum
Aston and Hayes are endorsed by the TFIC of Great
Britain. Materials for setting up your business are supplied by Aston and
Hayes
Why I trained with Aston and Hayes:
- I trained many years ago with
Aston
and Hayes after much research because they are also a
design agency and they work with major fashion retailers in the UK.
- Jennifer
Aston, Director, is a true professional and leading light in the
intellectual side of fashion in the UK with regular media
appearances on the BBC and a varied case load from working with the
individual to working globally with corporate companies on the
personal brand of their leaders and staff.
A few crucial facts that make my service different, unique and
bespoke to the Irish market place:
- Everyone who trains with me gets
their total image audited and revamped through tried and trusted
retailers to suit all budget types. This saves an inordinate
amount of time on revamping your image to showcase your new
skill set. This is not compulsory,
but an additional bonus, if you are interested.
- Style classification of Irish
retailers
- Make-up colours and sources for
Irish Skin Tones and global skin tones
- Understanding how the industry
works, trends and colours, marketing messages and so
on.
- How to market your business
locally and beyond
- How to build a network of
trusted stakeholders to facilitate growth
- How to edit clothes to
individual proportions - this will be demonstrated by my favourite
and nationally acclaimed local boutique owner/London trained
designer
- Editing clothes to individual
body shapes - this is my favourite part of image rebrands. I
have dressed a great number of women and men both commercially
and for charity fund-raisers and the level of creative
satisfaction is enormous. Seeing someone rejoice in their assets
rather than focusing on irrelevant image challenges is a great
result.
